With Mel Gibson reprising his role as 'Mad Max Rockatansky' and Tina Turner as 'Aunty Entity', the movie was acclaimed for its action scenes and spawned one of Tina Turner's biggest worldwide hits 'We don't need another hero (Thunderdome)'.

This movie poster is one of the best of the late Twentieth Century. The stunning illustration is by the late movie poster legend, Richard Amsel. It would be his last movie poster before his untimely death, later the same year.
