The RLO-10 Relay Output Module provides three solid-state relay outputs for interfacing external devices to the LD-250 or LD-350 alarms and strike indicators. External devices such as PLC inputs or auxilliary indicators can be activated when the LD-250 or LD-350 alarm activates.
The Close Storm Alarm output contacts will close for one minute each time a strike is detected closer than 25 miles. Constant close lightning activity will hold the contact closed. The contact will open again when no close strikes have been detected for one minute.
The Severe Storm Alarm output contacts will close if the strike rate rises above 300 strikes/minute. Once the strike rate falls below 300 strikes/minute the contacts will open.
The Strike output contacts will close for 200ms every time a strike is detected.
