Taste

Pale gold, the immense concentration in this wine is evident from the off. The bouquet blends red and green apples, pears, white blossoms, toasted nuts, honey and lemons. The palate is wonderfully full and fresh with layers of fruit – white peaches, pears, lemons, and greengages – interspersed with savoury notes of minerals and toast, before a tangy, cleansing acidity sweeps in. Medium-bodied, it will put a little more weight on as it develops but it is just the thing for serving with Dover sole, guinea fowl, braised pork, or firm white cheeses.

About the Producer

Vincent Punier founded his domaine in 1988 when he inherited 2 hectares of vineyards from his parents. It is now comprised of 13 hectares of vines in prestigious sites in Auxey-Duresses, Meursault, Puligny-Montrachet, Chassagne-Montrachet and Saint-Aubin. Despite his domain’s growth it remains very much his own and his control over his wine extends to him living above his winery in Auxey Duresses in sight of his Pinot Noir vines. His love for his wines is easy to see and thanks to his close attention to detail, he has attracted a loyal following.
