The Rare Find Zephyr Earrings Bonkers Deal: 90% Off [Z0MAPGph] came into being with elegance and simplicity in mind. Whilst many of my initial sketches featured dangling beads, tassels or leaves, the Zephyr design is the stripped back version. As such, they encapsulates the primary essence of The Windblown Collection. 

I wanted the pieces, to have movement at their core, but also an inner strength and grace (like the people who I imagine will wear them). Together with the inspiration that came to me in the tail-end of Storm Eunice, I settled on a kite shape, which you will see in other variations in this collection. 

Like their sister-necklace, the Rare Find Zephyr Earrings Bonkers Deal: 90% Off [Z0MAPGph] features a solid silver V-slice at the bottom, the top section 'traced' with four delicate chains. In fact the four chain outlines forming the top part of the kite, are two lengths of 1.6mm x 1.2mm chain. These are threaded through a 2mm diameter silver tube, topping each horizontal axes of the silver V (1mm thick).  

There is an ease and flow to the earrings: the tube doesn’t restrict the motion of the chain threaded through it, instead adding to a sense of the freedom and movement. This is further enhanced by two 2mm jump rings at the top of each chain-loop and a final 3mm jump ring which threads beautifully onto the hand formed earring wires, formed in 0.8mm silver – neat and comfortable, with the ends ever so slightly tapered but smooth, so they can be easily slid into your ear lobe piercing. 

The detail

From top to bottom (including jump rings) each entire earring measures 5.2cm long and they are 1.2cm wide from side to side. The chain section is 2.4cm long, and the silver V is 1.2cm long and 1mm thick, with the tube sections extending width ways to 2mm and length ways to around 4mm. The ear wires measure 1.7cm long at the front from the top loop, with 3mm extra with a flick on the back.
