Completely new for 2026, the new Fox 36SL caters for short travel trail bikes where a 36 is too heavy and a 34 is too weedy - think bikes like Transition Smugglers and Marin Rift Zones. If you ride a 120-140mm bike, this is the fork for you.

Aside from the GRIP X Damper, this fork doesn't share parts with the standard 36, resulting in a weight saving of about 200g.

Fox have developed a new air spring designed to maintain smooth travel even when heavy riders are breaking hard. The “FLOAT Glidecore Ultra-Low-Friction Compliant Air Spring” keeps the air spring separate from the stanchion, so avoids any friction caused by twisting or flexing of the fork leg under cornering or braking forces.  Where the shorter travel allows, Fox have paired down the weight of the air spring found on the 36.

The new 34SL, 36SL and 36 have redesigned archways with cutaways, updating the aesthetics and shaving more weight.
