The GT-RA 280 is inspired by the design of the GT-RA 330 model and represents the pinnacle of MPI formula/prototype racing steering wheels. 

MPI’s patented tilted spoke design is engineered to place the wheel in a more vertical position, allowing the wrist angle to be in a more relaxed position and keeping the arm’s reach more even while turning the wheel.

Safety is always at the forefront of all MPI products. 

The inner aluminum structure has been engineered to deform under elevated impacts, absorbing the load and reducing the effect on the driver’s upper body, offering an engineered safety advantage. 

MPI’s exclusive foam padded thumb design, developed for the MPI INDYCAR wheels, is designed to reduce hand injury due to thumb smashing on the aluminum spoke frame. 

The arched bottom shape facilitates quick driver changes in endurance races, while the absence of a top part of the frame provides visibility to modern electronic dashboards.

The spokes feature different pre-machined push-button locations, giving even the most demanding racers infinite adjustability.

The inner foam injection has been developed to have the highest vibration absorption rate in the industry. 

The extreme hand ergonomic shaped grips, covered with high-friction RG material, outperform suede grips for a secure, fatigue-reducing hold for your MPI gloves, making steering feel natural for the driver. 

The GT-RA 280 comes in a small 280 mm diameter size recommended to fit small cockpits, formula cars, or prototypes like Radicals, etc. 

Each wheel is individually serial numbered for traceability and comes complete with MPI’s love and attention to detail.
