SMART STRIP™ PRO is a professional strength paint remover that effectively removes architectural, industrial and lead paints. It is formulated without methylene chloride and is non-carcinogenic, non-caustic and non-flammable. It is low VOC, low odor, biodegradable and user friendly. SMART STRIP™ PRO delivers the superior performance professionals require when removing even the most difficult coatings. This water-based stripper will effectively remove multiple coats of varnish, oil-based, water-based, acrylic, urethane, epoxy, elastomeric and lead paints from any interior or exterior surface – wood, brick, stone, concrete, plaster, metal, fiberglass, plastic, glass, etc. Because it is a paste, it is easily applied by brush, roller or conventional airless spray. SMART STRIP™ PRO is formulated to remain wet and effective without the use of Peel Away Paper. (For extended dwell times, Peel Away Paper may be necessary, particularly on lead abatement and industrial projects.) Dwell time will vary depending on the type of coating, number of layers and temperature. For best results, allow paste to dwell overnight or longer. Remove the paste and softened/lifted paint using a scraper. Any remaining residue can be removed with a sponge and water or a power washer. There is no need to neutralize the stripped surface
