In 2015, the design studio Pool conceived the Grid Armchair for Petite Friture, in tribute to the Bauhaus style and the art of graphic design. By 2016, the Grid had evolved from a singular daybed into a fully modular system that can adapt to a multitude of spaces and preferences.

At the heart of the Grid collection are the basic modules: a simple armchair, a corner armchair, a stool, and a coffee table. These elements can be paired with the two-seater sofa to craft a multitude of configurations to suit your every desire. Be it a three-seater sofa, a corner sofa, or a loveseat, the Grid collection can be effortlessly transformed through a simple attachment system.

Each element within the Grid collection retains the identity of the original daybed. The design comprises a strapped wooden structure, supported by a black tubular steel leg, and topped with geometrically patterned square or round fabric or leather cushions.

The Grid Armchair, and by extension, the Grid collection, is designed for everyday life. Its modular design allows for an array of configurations, ensuring comfort and adaptability, whether in a small apartment or a large living room.
