Geological terminology:

A sensational Amethyst Spirit Quartz cluster.
Vitreous, densely intergrown, prismatic Quartz.
Vivid amethyst hue can be seen through out the cluster with beautiful saturated zoning in the crystal terminations.
Secondary Quartz growth has created a small cave-like overhang mid cluster.
Iron-staining on the original crystal can be seen through the translucent secondary Quartz growth.
Contact damage mainly to the perimeter of the cluster
