A pair of exceptionally rare Van Cleef & Arpels eighteen carat gold and diamond cufflinks. These superb quality and beautifully designed cufflinks are set with two beautiful clean and white diamonds in each cufflink, four in total in the pair (approximately 1 carat total weight). They are made by one of the world's premier luxury jewellers and, as one would come to expect, they are very high quality, heavy and substantial. The stones are back drilled, in order for light to pass completely through the diamonds, and bring them to life. The diamonds are rub set in eighteen carat white gold, which gives the illusion of little to no setting. The cufflinks are designed in a "Day & Night" fashion. One side of the cufflinks are not set with diamonds, where as they other side is. This means that, should they be worn to work in the day, the diamonds can be worn on the inside of the cuff. Then, for the evening, be worn diamonds out, if desired. They are hand signed "Van Cleef & Arpels", with registration number NY26126 and also stamped with the eagle head which is the French assay mark for eighteen gold. Made in France, circa 1950's.
