Time Saver Hermès Wine Bottle Opener - Us Warehouse [rMEZH02i]

A nautical inspired twisted rope silver plated bottle opener by the French luxury power house, Hermès.  The corkscrew is excellent quality, as one would come to expect from the brand, and very rewarding in the hand.  

This was part of a group of pieces designed by Hermès using this rope edge designed.  This ranged from magnifying glasses to a selection of bottle openers and bar and home focused accessories.  Hermès main focus was usually equestrian and nautical, with this group falling into the latter.  This wine bottle opener was offered with the other bar pieces in the range such as; an ice pick, tray, ice bucket and beer bottle opener.

The piece was made by the French manufacturers Ravinet D'Enfert for Hermès.  They were large scale silversmiths in France and were contracted by Hermès to make home goods for the luxury atelier during the mid 20th Century. 

The opener dates circa 1960's, made in France, is fully signed, and in good condition, with some signs of use.
