These Certified Pre-Owned items -- including telescopes and accessories -- have been thoroughly inspected by the Explore Scientific Quality Control Team to ensure the item meets our high standard. The item is then repacked, often in a new box, and prepared for shipment.

Generally these items come from one of three sources: returned, often in like new condition; traded in on another item; or new but has blemishes and marks.

Certified Pre-Owned items carry the standard Limited One-Year Warranty on mechanical and optical systems; however, because these items are pre-owned, they DO NOT carry a cosmetic warranty.

Featuring an open-bridge design that promotes a steady grip, the 42mm models in the HS Series are lightweight enough for lengthy viewing sessions and have twist-up eyecups that are comfortable for observers with or without eyeglasses. The high-end optics are fully multi-coated and work with the sizable aperture to produce bright, high-contrast images even in pre-dawn or twilight conditions. Available in detail-defining 8x and 10x magnification powers, these binoculars also feature ergonomic styling for ideal focuser placement and diopter compensation capability to guarantee a crisp image. They also are tripod mountable and come with a carrying case, neck strap and lens cloth.
