RARE vintage 8x10-inch black and white publicity portrait in her prime, boldly signed in black fine-tip pen, probably in the late 1970s. In good condition, with a few minor handling dings. Prodigiously talented stage star Kim Stanley made only a handful of forays into cinema, but when she did step in front of the camera, the result was always mesmerizing. She was marvelous as sensitive glamour-girl Rita Shawn in The Goddess (1958); the increasingly unhinged medium in Seance on a Wet Afternoon (1964), for which she earned an Oscar nod; domineering, wrathful Lillian Farmer in Frances (1982), which brought her second Academy Award nomination; and the crusty, sun-baked Pancho Barnes in The Right Stuff (1983).
