Originally hung in a hotel in Stockholm, this elegant Mid-Century Modern flush mount chandelier was realized by the esteemed lighting designer Hans-Agne Jakobsson in Sweden, circa 1970. It features a circular, stepped brass base body with a radial grid consisting of an abundance of concentric circles attached to six spokes, emanating outwards from the center. Jakobsson- once employed as an industrial designer for GM, went on to found his own company creating some of the most distinctive and uniquely compelling lighting designs of Scandinavia from this period. With its clean, modernist lines and monochromatic palate, this piece is as versatile as it is beautiful, blending perfectly with any style of interior from classic Mid Century Modern to contemporary. The fixture has been rewired to American standards and in excellent condition.
