Functions

Ivabradine (148849-67-6) is a clinically useful heart failure and chronic unstable angina medication. It lowers heart rate via inhibition of hyperpolarization-activated cyclic nucleotide-gated channels (HCN) expressed in the sinoatrial node (IC50’s: HCN1 = 2.05 µM, HCN2 = 2.29 µM, HCN3 = 2.51 µM, HCN4 = 2.15 µM).

Application Procedures

First dissolved in DMSO (up to 20 mg/ml), then diluted to aqueous buffer. Solutions in DMSO may be stored at -20°C for up to 1 month.
