Functions

Induces cardiomyogenesis in embryonic stem cells (EC50 = 100 nM). Also transdifferentiates lineage-committed progenitor cells, such as mouse hair bulge progenitor cells and C2C12 mouse skeletal myoblasts, into cardiomyocyte-like cells. Useful tool for cardiac stem cell research.
