This is an astonishing Navajo huge chunky slab turquoise silver concho belt. This museum quality belt contains 8 phenomenal large and very chunky slab turquoise silver conchos. The turquoise on this belt appear to be from the wonderful Royston turquoise mine. Each concho stone measures around 2-3/8" X 2" and the matching turquoise slab silver buckle measures around 2-3/8" X 2-3/8". I absolutely love the huge chunky turquoise stones on this belt allowing the belt to be thick and heavy. What also makes this belt unique is that the back of the conchos, the links, are sterling silver as well which is very rare for a concho belt. Usually the links on the back of the conchos are copper. The total length of this belt measures around 51" long. Signed by Navajo artist, Richard Jim . Sterling silver, marked. Cir. 1970's+. Sturdy 686 grams.
