This is a museum quality vintage Santo Domingo inlaid bug necklace. This phenomenal necklace contains five outstanding very intricately inlaid bugs that consist of flys, dragonflies, grasshopper and a ladybug. The intricacy is just fascinating and so impressive. The bottom ladybug measures around 2-1/4" X 1-1/2". I absolutely love the intricacy on this necklace. The stones and shells located throughout consist of jet, mother of pearl, Sleeping Beauty turquoise, Royston turquoise, abalone, and lapis. The strand of the necklace consists of graduating hand cut jet stones with end turquoise stones. What I also love about this piece is the matching pair of inlaid fly earrings that consist of pink mother of pearl, Royston turquoise and jet. Each earring measures around 1-1/2" X 1".
