This is a museum quality Zuni very large inlaid shell pendant necklace. This is one of the most rare and unique Zuni necklaces we have ever collected not only because it is large but because the inlaid workmanship is just astonishing. The very large shell pendant measures a whopping 8-1/4" X 6-1/4" including the dangling hand carved feathers, JUST WOW! Located on the shell is a phenomenal very detailed hand carved mother of pearl flying eagle. The eagle is beautifully placed on the inlaid turquoise shells pendant with accenting chunky pieces of turquoise stones situated underneath the eagle. Also inlaid into the large shell are marvelous opal and abalone shells, just absolutely impeccable. Dangling from the bottom of the shell are 10 outstanding hand carved very detailed mother of pearl feathers with accenting rounded mother of pearl shells. This necklace includes a wonderful double handmade silver link chain necklace to make the necklace extra sturdy with a traditional silver clasp. I absolutely love this necklace and all that the details include. Sterling silver. Cir. 1970's+. Signed by Zuni artist, Randy Lucio and Zuni. The length of the necklace measures around 43". Sturdy 434 grams.
