This is a breathtaking vintage Navajo/ Hopi turquoise and silver thick concho style necklace. The necklace contains 15 incredible rounded silver conchos that each measure around 1-1/2" in diameter. Located on each concho is a completely different overlay and inlaid pattern, absolutely phenomenal. The inlay on the conchos consist of beautiful Sleeping Beauty turquoise stones and the overlay patterns consist of x pattern chisel marks of animals and kachinas. Situated throughout the conchos are sturdy and thick rounded silver links. The total length of this necklace measures around 32-1/2" long. Sterling silver. Cir. 1970's+.
