This is a museum quality vintage Hopi silver bolo tie handmade by none other than the famous artist, Bernard Dawahoya. Bernard is known for his impeccable overlay pattern workmanship as it is so detailed and very intricate. He is a multiple award winner, one of which being the 1989 winner of the phenomenal Arizona Indian Living Treasure award which only one person can win per year. This bolo is large and contains a beautiful overlay wave pattern with accenting thick channel patterns and pueblo works. Located within the overlay patterns are stunning chisel works. The bolo measures around 2-3/8" X 1-5/8". Resting at the bottom of the 42" thick black leather tie are long silver cones with accenting raindrops. Signed by Hopi artist, Bernard Dawahoya. Sterling silver. Cir. 1970's+. Sturdy 55 grams.
