Marble Care

Marble is like a relationship. If you take good care of it, it can last a lifetime. There are some things you need to know though. Always handle your marble piece with care and only clean it with water and a mild detergent. Don’t let any liquid get the chance to soak in and be aware that acidic and strong pigmented products can leave a mark. 

Stoned is founded by Derkan Atakan and John ter Riet. The love for marble has always been in our blood. In 2014 we saw an opportunity to offer something exclusive yet totally familiar and we started to create our own products using high-end marble. Simple serving and kitchen boards, cut and polished by hand in our own small workshop, and other basic yet elegant designs. 

In our Amsterdam neighborhood we joined a pop up shop where our first marble items got sold. Our collection grew and so did our points of sale. From stylish concept stores in Amsterdam to the Dutch luxury department store De Bijenkorf now our products are available in over 200 concept, design and department stores across the globe.
