This listing is a PREORDER for one mushroom support spindle. These spindles are typically between 0.5 and 0.9 oz (14 to 25 grams) depending on the wood used for the whorl and 10 1/2" to 10 3/4" (~27 cm) long.  The whorls are approximately 1 3/8" (3.5 cm) in diameter and the shaft is made from maple with a flicking tip the diameter of a US size 3 knitting needle (1/8" or 3.25 mm).  The approximate weights for spindles with whorls made from each type of wood are shown in the last image.

Please note additional customization such as carving, dyeing, painting, pyrography or shaft wood is not available for the spindles in this listing.  The spindles offered here were specifically designed to be relatively quick to make with readily available woods.  They are precision balanced with a fast, effortless spin and have an excellent spin time.

The spindle you will receive will be similar to those shown in the photos, but as these are all handmade some variation should be expected.  Please allow 2 to 3 weeks for your spindle to be completed and ready to ship.  When your order ships you will receive tracking information via email.
