This beautiful natural black opal was ethically mined in Lightning Ridge, South Australia.

 It's a very unique and interesting piece reminding me of a patchwork quilt. In one direction it will flash electric greens. Then when you move it slightly electric sky blue , sea blues and green colours will pop up in other parts of the stone. With very close inspection there are no fractures. There are lines of dark and lighter potch which we think just add to the natural beauty of this stone.

This lovely thick opal is highly polished and ready to be set. Would make a perfect large pendant.

Weight : 13.5 carats

Measures : 29.1 x 17 x 4.5 mm approximately (6.35mm = 1/4 inch)
