Antique style, gilded, framed, oil painting of a Peacock on a branch. The oil painting is a hand painted portrait on wood board of a peacock on a branch against a light green. background. There is an extra, beautiful element of gold leaf in the "eyes" of the feathers--see the video. The painting inspired by Daniel Giraud Elliot's painting, Pavo Cristatus circa 1872. The painting is done by me and not a mass item purchased overseas. The frame is has ornate detailing and is hand gilded with gold leaf. The colors in this painting are rich blues, teals, greens, pinks, oranges, browns, creams and blacks with gold leafing. The artwork is 5"x 5" and in a 12" x 12" frame. Ready for hanging. *The last picture is this painting in a group of other paintings inspired by the same artist.
