“Energy,” combines the fierceness of the sky with the intensity of what is happening underground and on the rig.

She asked me to watch out for all the lightning. As I was shooting this image, the wives & loved ones of the guys on the rig were bringing food to them. One of the wives stopped and asked me to be careful with all the lightning in the area. I was amazed at what she said, as her loved one, was working on this rig. She had to be concerned about him and had to say something to me. Doing whatever it takes to take care of your family! These guys are heroes to their family’s!
