So pretty... Really unique and lovely Belle Epoque ring with skinny marquise cut ruby at the center in a milgrain bezel. This gorgeous pop of color sits amidst ornate scrolling details at each shoulder which are set with rose cut and old mine cut diamonds for sparkle. In the scrollwork are the rose cuts, and then on each side in the little raised bezel is the added old mine cut diamond. They are small but they catch the light nicely for that glint of glitter drawing attention to the unique and ornate setting.

Found in France with their hallmark for 18k gold.  Assuming due to cut and clarity that the ruby is synthetic, a very popular choice for the period.

Please note the measurements as I have small fingers and it can be difficult to determine scale from pictures. Antique box is not included.

MEASUREMENTS:
Currently measures 7 1/4.
It weighs a 4.1 grams.
Ring face is 19mm north south by 12mm shoulder to shoulder.
The ruby is 18 by 4mm and the diamonds are small.

CONDITION NOTES:

The tiniest flea bites to the ruby but overall a wonderful sheen and polish, in better than most condition for age I'd say. Typical old rose cut diamonds with some inclusions, nicks, frosty and irregular edges, likely have always been that way as they were rough cut by hand. They are small so this is not really visible to the eye, they just add a nice little glint of sparkle. The diamonds have small openings behind and there is buildup there giving them a bit of a cloudy appearance under magnification but I don't like to over clean my pieces with small stones. A further gentle soak could help but always recommend care on these old settings with small stones.

Please note that all my pieces are pre-owned and in estate condition. They will have patina, surface wear, a few small nicks. These pieces may also have evidence of a sizing, some build up around the stones and / or inclusions seen under magnification, typical for antique pieces. I have mentioned any noticeable issues above and they are all still wearable and eager to be loved and accepted for many years to come, (the preservation of antique jewelry, even those with signs of their age and history, is important to me. : )
But - Please note due to age, this piece is not in mint condition. Pictures also serve as part of the description and condition report so please utilize the zoom feature which will magnify any wear significantly more than what is visible to the eye while wearing : )
