Original oil painting by Liz Vaughn. "Defining The Cosmos".  I have been here before, when the piece seems good enough, but doesn't feel good enough. You probably know that feeling too. There is something more that you are looking for, but can't quite seem to get there. 

Lately I have been trying to avoid using darker colors, I feel the need for bright and light.  Yet, despite my good intentions, the black and moody hues could not be denied here.  I gave myself a "win" when I was so frustrated with the piece, I just started scribbling all over her.  You just never know when something might be a game changer! The last two photos are earlier stages in the creation process.
