This is a rich and rustic Meshkabad Mahal from the 1920s — a village rug with all the bold charm and deep soul of central Persian weaving.

The palette is saturated with natural dyes: brick reds, deep navy, olive, pistachio, coral, ivory, melon-orange, yellow, chocolate  brown, slate blue, apricot, buttercream, and a dash of turquoise peeking through. The field is low pile with scattered wear that adds texture and life, while the borders still carry a bit more wool, framing the piece with visual weight.

Expect floral sprays, palmettes, and feathery leaves all laid out in a rhythmic, asymmetric flow that feels traditional yet full of character. The design spread across the field has a great sense of movement — perfect for bringing life to a living space.
