The Feather Shell operates in the middle ground between a windbreaker and fully taped rain jacket, > 9000 mm waterproof rating with extreme breathability. The 2.5 layer membrane 10Denier Ripstop is a 1.4 oz textile. Ultralight and durable enough for trail running (it will not rip open like paper when snagged.)
