Seeing a vintage truck in a driveway provokes nostalgic memories of riding in a 1955 Ford truck with my dad on the weekends. We would make our routine visit to dump yard waste, then get ice cream together. On my wedding day, I was adamant that my dad drove me and my husband away in a vintage car. It was the beginning of a new chapter, but the familiar smell of rusty bolts and breeze whistling through the windows remained. I hope this painting provokes fond memories in the viewer that carry value throughout a lifetime.
