This is the basic model of Dynavector, which uses a robust aluminum alloy body, a hard aluminum cantilever, and a microridge stylus tip. The magnetic circuit uses pure iron, which has stable magnetic properties with little distortion. Basic model with special annealing magnetic circuit

The DV 20X2A is a basic model of the Dynavector MC cartridge series, which is based on the same basic structure as the higher-end models XX-2A and Te Kaitora Rua, and uses a solid aluminum machined body, hard aluminum cantilever, and a microridge stylus tip. In addition to the 20X2A-L (low output model) which has the same output as a general MC cartridge, there are two models in the lineup: the 20X2A-H (high output model), which is an MC type cartridge that can be used in the MM position, and is an MC cartridge that is ideal not only for those who want to enjoy the sound unique to MC cartridges in earnest, but also for those who want to feel the charm of MC cartridges easily without using an MC step-up transformer.

■High Output Model/Low Output Model

The high output model 20X2A-H achieves an output voltage of 2.8mV thanks to the unique winding technology developed by Dynavector. By winding the generating coil multiple times with ultra-fine wire, it is possible to obtain high output equivalent to that of an MM cartridge, so there is no need for a head amplifier or step-up transformer, and it is an MC cartridge that can be directly connected to the PHONO input in the MM position.

The low output model 20X2A-L uses a winding coil made of the same PCOCC wire as the higher-end model, resulting in an output voltage of 0.3mV. The recommended load impedance of the head amplifier is 30Ω or more, and it is compatible with many commercially available head amplifiers and MC step-up transformers.

■Special annealed magnetic circuit

The magnetic circuit, which is the key to MC cartridges, uses pure iron with stable magnetic properties and little distortion. Furthermore, by performing special annealing that focuses on optimizing magnetic annealing such as annealing temperature, annealing environment, heating time, heating rate, and cooling rate, we have achieved excellent resolution without distortion, a wide range of expression, and a wide sound field.

■Compliance

The 20X2A series, with a compliance of 12mm/N and a weight of 9.2g, is compatible with general tone arms and matches most tone arms from light to medium mass. (We recommend a head shell that is not too heavy.)

■Hard aluminum pipe cantilever

Uses a hollow hard aluminum pipe cantilever. By reducing the mass of the vibration system, a wide bandwidth with clear high frequencies is achieved.

■Microridge stylus

The stylus tip uses a microridge stylus. The part that comes into contact with the record groove has a tiny radius of curvature of just 2 microns, but the band-like tip shape makes it resistant to wear and tear, and it continues to perform ideally for a long time.
