The '3 Gear' option rotates the motor around and uses 1 less idler gear like other traditional drag cars for use on higher grip surfaces. 1 less idler gear makes the transmission more efficient, quieter and translates to more rpm. The chassis will feel 'flatter' too when launching from start.
