A 2.5 ring bit is a milder version of a 3 ring (pessoa) bit. With this bit a leverage can be created. The lower the reins are placed, the stronger the bit becomes. An ideal bit for horses that are very strong or hold the bit. Compared to the 2.5 eggbut, the loose rings can move loosely so there is more movement in the bit and the rein aid has a more indirect effect.

The mouthpiece with rings is a variant of the double-jointed bit. The rings in the middle stimulate the horse to play with the bit. This increases the tongue activity so that the horse will produce more saliva and the jaws can relax more.

The Sweet Iron bits are made of steel and have a recognizable blue color. Sweet Iron will rust when it comes into contact with (air) humidity, the surface rust tastes sweet and naturally stimulates the saliva production. This will cause the horse to salivate more, which in turn will encourage a better acceptance of the bit.
