The Bedstead Shetland boasts exclusively natural fillings, such as multiple layers of British fleece wool and hand-teased pure Shetland wool. Celebrated for its superior quality, Shetland wool meets even Vispring's rigorous standards. Regardless of which of the four available tensions you prefer, the Bedstead Shetland guarantees unparalleled comfort.

This mattress is offered in four firmness levels: soft, medium, firm, and extra firm. While Vispring provides user guidelines (Soft up to 70kg, Medium up to 102kg, and Firm up to 127kg), the choice is ultimately yours, ensuring personalised comfort and support that only a Vispring mattress can deliver. Known for its luxurious feel, a Vispring mattress will seem relatively softer compared to other natural mattresses. Our team is available to address any questions and offer guidance. Traditional hand-tufting enhances both tension and durability, complemented by two rows of hand side-stitching for additional sidewall support. Convenient handles are included to facilitate mattress rotation as needed. The Bedstead Shetland requires seasonal rotation, alternating between the two sleeping surfaces; for the first two months, we recommend rotating the mattress every fortnight to ensure even settlement.

While this mattress is designed for use with a slatted base, it is also compatible with ottomans and divan bases. When paired with a slatted bed frame, the extra layer of fleece wool in the mattress ensures complete support for the springs. However, it is versatile enough to be used on other surface types as well. It is important to note that the Bedstead Supreme, along with all sprung mattresses, should not be used on slatted bases with slats spaced more than 7.5cm apart.
