The TL-2000 Translinker combines UVP’s crosslinker and transilluminator in one compact unit. The crosslinker provides an exposure instrument which utilizes shortwave UV energy to bond DNA to a medium. The system’s internal microprocessor measures and controls the UV output, taking seconds as compared to hours for oven baking. All controls are included on the crosslinker.

The Translinker includes a model M-20 302nm midrange UV transilluminator which features High/Low intensity settings. The low setting reduces photonicking or photobleaching of gels samples during prep work, while the high setting may be used in analytical documentation work. The transilluminator filter size is 20 x 20cm.

The CL-1000 Crosslinker is designed to measure and control the ultraviolet (UV) radiation within the exposure chamber. A UV sensor continually measures the energy and automatically adjusts to variations in intensity that occurs as the UV tubes age. This same UV sensor feedback measurement system allows you to set UV sample exposure, which automatically deactivates the UV sources when the set energy dose has been achieved.

Warning: Transilluminators are powerful sources of ultraviolet radiation which can cause serious damage to unprotected eyes and skin. Wear protective eyewear and clothing when using transilluminators.

Most of our equipment is used and reconditioned. Our technicians test all equipment to confirm that it operates properly and to the manufacturer’s specifications. While we can’t test for a specific analytical application, we will do our best to simulate the conditions under which the equipment will be run. If you have particular testing requirements or requests please let us know and we’ll work with you to make sure these requirements are addressed during testing.
