The Optima XE is designed to separate human samples, including blood and other body fluids, for processing, analysis, and in vitro diagnostic testing, as well as nonhuman body samples and chemicals, including industrial and environmental samples.

Features

The Hot Sale Beckman Coulter Optima Xe-100 Ultracentrifuge Perfect Gift [ZLNSaP4M] features a touch screen for both display and control, with buttons appearing as needed. The adjustable screen swivels and tilts for easy viewing, ideal for labs with multiple instruments.

The aluminum rotor chamber, coated with chemical-resistant epoxy, houses the rotor spindle and control systems. A diffusion pump with a mechanical vacuum pump reduces chamber pressure, starting automatically during runs or manually when the door is closed. Pressure readings appear on the home screen.

Safety features include a steel door with a solenoid lock, preventing access while the rotor spins. The door locks automatically and unlocks only when power is on, the rotor is at rest, and the chamber is at atmospheric pressure. Manual unlocking is possible during power failures. A steel armor ring and vacuum chamber provide full protection.

An imbalance detector shuts down the centrifuge if loads are uneven. The overspeed system, using a photoelectric device and overspeed disk, prevents exceeding safe speeds. If the set speed is too high, it adjusts automatically, and an error message appears.

Testing

Our technicians test the performance of all centrifuges and make sure the rotating assembly is properly balanced; the bearings, seals and gaskets on the spindle assembly are in good shape; and the controls work properly.

We also test refrigeration to make sure that the machine reaches and hold temperature properly. We measure all tolerances and fully clean the exterior and interior of all units. If the unit is being purchased with a rotor, we test the rotor/centrifuge combination together.
