McCrometer flow meters are an economical choice for dependable flow measurement. The measuring device of this flow meter is a
propeller, which when positioned in the center of the flowstream, will rotate at a velocity proportional to the velocity of the fluid moving
through the flow meter. This rotation is transmitted mechanically to a register, and the fluid’s volumetric flow rate and accumulated volume
is then displayed via an instantaneous flow indicator and totalizer. The register case is hermetically sealed with a hinged lens cover and
locking clasp. All McCrometer products are thoroughly tested and inspected during manufacture and prior to shipping. These meters
require a minimum 5 diameters of straight pipe upstream and a minimum of 1 diameter of straight pipe downstream of the flow meter.
Also required is a full pipeline of water for an accurate measurement. Although most installations are horizontally oriented, McCrometer
flow meters can be specially ordered for vertical installation if needed. When properly ordered and installed, accuracy is guaranteed to be
within + or - 2% of the actual flow.
