About the Artist

Etsuko Ichikawa, a multi-media artist, filmmaker, and activist, brings a rich background to her work. Born in Tokyo and educated at Tokyo Zokei University, Ichikawa moved to Washington State in 1993 to study at the Pilchuck Glass School. Her eight-year tenure as a studio assistant for Dale Chihuly honed her skills, leading to the establishment of her independent studio in Seattle in 2003.
