This design is called Philco (pronounced FILL-co). The idea behind this design was that we wanted a toy that had a fairly humanoid shape but with lots of exciting texture and a bit of a monstrous flair to it.
This model has a blunt, humanoid tip and a swell at the top of the shaft. The shape tucks in a bit before ending in a sturdy, but not too wide, set of balls. They are strong enough that the toy is able to stand up on its own in most sizes and silicone firmnesses (but the biggest, softest versions tend to lean or flop over). There is bumpy texture along the back and sides of the toy, but the underside of the shaft is smooth. There is some more of the scaly texture at the top of the balls. This model is a great option if you're in the mood for a familiar shape with lots of exciting surface textures.
