About the piece:  I try and reflect on the positive as to what good has come over the last few years of this pandemic.
Hobbies exploded, and last year showed over 20 million first time gardeners picked up a spade and planted seeds of hope.

I have been a gardener my whole life as both my parents had green thumbs. My Father with his tomatoes and zucchini and my Mother with her beloved Iris and fruit trees.

For me gardening has always been my happy place, a way to stay in touch with the natural world. What could be better than sunshine, nurturing new life, and getting your hands dirty? I highly recommend it-give it a try.
