Inspired by a summer day by the lake, this mixed media snapshot of nature captures the wild beauty of plants and flowers accented with random black slashes of deadwood. Embroidered white cabbage butterflies flutter across the scene where wild daisies, allium, and microphylla grow set against the bright blue lake water.

Although the plant and insect depictions are literal, the scene is a memory of Connecticut summers spent as a child.
