When the sun rises over the mountain, the light hits the inside shore break at Waimea first. This is one of those shots that people always ask, "were you in the water shooting this?". The answer is no. I'm actually lined up alongside Kam Highway, just feet from passing vehicles, shooting with my Canon 600mm.
