Description:   Experience the beauty with this amazing 19^th century Salt Glazed Stoneware Batter Jug with Cobalt Blue Decoration. Likely from the New York region, this batter jug stands 8 ½ inches tall with a bulbous shape, generous pour spout, applied lower grasp handle, and a wire bail handle with a brown wooden grip. The interior is glazed with a dark brown Albany slip glaze. Don't overlook the stunning brushed cobalt details featured around the pour spout, pierced handle tabs, and lower hand grasp which makes this jug a true treasure.

Condition:  Used. Condition is commensurate with age & use. Considered very good. Holds water with no leaks. Two minor ¼” flakes at rim and hand grasp. Salt drip left of spout with a glaze flake nearby. Some scratches to base. Glaze imperfections and crazing is present. Bail handle moves back and forth but does not fold down.
