Antique Philippine tightly-covered basket/box made of bamboo and rattan. Initially used to hold cooked rice during the day. The lower section is made with the smooth skin of the bamboo on the inside – and the cover/lid features the skin on the outside. Dark mahogany brown patina. Structurally sound and perfect for storage or decoration.   

Place of Origin: Bontoc, Luzon, Philippines

Date of Manufacture: 1950s-1960s

Condition: Excellent
