This is the striking and rare 1926 first edition pictorial map of San Antonio, Texas created by Emily Edwards for the San Antonio Conservation Society.   This elaborate bird’s-eye view pictorial map is done in red and blue with the title printed in the lower right corner which reads as:

The lower left corner is printed “Copyrighted 1926 by Emily Edwards”.   Emily Edwards along with Rena Maverick Green founded the San Antonio Conservation Society in 1924 and was instrumental in preserving many important historical sites throughout the city and also in developing what would eventually became the San Antonio River Walk.  Edwards was a graduate of the Chicago Art Institute and a lifelong friend of Diego Rivera.  This map was later reissued but the original 1926 first edition offered here is virtually impossible to obtain.  

This unrestored map shows bumping and slight creasing on the edges and moderate handling and is free of tape, pinholes or other notable defects.   Overall condition is very good.
