Join the Wyngate Elementary School Chess Club this Spring and embark on a journey of strategic thinking and fun with Silver Knights Chess Academy. Our Spring 2025 session is designed to cater to all levels of chess enthusiasts, from beginners to aspiring champions. With a focus on teaching the basics and delving into advanced tournament strategies, our program promises to enhance your child's cognitive skills and provide a platform for social interaction and camaraderie.

Program Details

The Spring 2025 Chess Club will run every Friday from 4:00pm to 5:00pm, starting on April 4th and concluding on May 30th. We will be skipping the week of April 18th, ensuring a total of 8 engaging weeks of learning. Students will benefit from a balanced mix of lessons and practice games, designed to reinforce their understanding of chess. The Winter 2025 session, which began on January 10th and ended on March 21st, was a resounding success, with 10 weeks of comprehensive chess education.

Benefits and Opportunities

At Silver Knights Chess Academy, we believe in fostering a love for the game and providing valuable experiences. Students have the opportunity to participate in tournaments outside of club hours, which can be an additional fee. We provide all necessary chess supplies, making it easy for your child to dive right into the action. As a special added bonus, all students will receive a ChessKid Gold membership (normally $49/year), weekly evening practice tournaments, and an exclusive bonus event with a BIG guest once per season. Last year's guests included Magnus Carlsen, the world champion, and Judit Polgar, the best female chess player of all time.
