This 1 of 1 upcycled denim Jacket was altered in collaboration with Sidney Sanchez in celebration of Dia De Los Muertos. papel picado or "punctured paper" is a common decoration for the Day of Dead and can be found covering streets and gravesites. A custom Papel Picado was designed and embroidered on each jacket in a different color. Together they display a spectrum of color in the style papel picado is known for. 

Day of the Dead is a Central American tradition of honoring one's ancestors. This diverse and ancient tradition is often an inspiration for our collaborator, Sindey Sanchez. Sanchez intends to define Dia De Los Muertos for herself by reinterpreting death as something more positive.
