Bay Colony Antiques is proud to offer for sale this fantastic early 19th century antique New England grain bin. Although a relatively simple design, the proportions & format of this box are extremely desirable. This is a true grain bin and it’s in fantastic condition with an impressive set of hand cut dovetails joining each board. The grain bin has a flat lid making it a much more practical piece to have around the house opposed to the ones with slant lids. We purchased this from a home in Maine & believe it was made in either Maine or New Hampshire CA 1830/1840. The chest measures 30” wide x 20” deep x 36 1/4” tall. When the lid is fully open the height is 55 1/2 tall.
