Bay Colony Antiques is proud to offer for sale this fantastic set of 4 19th century antique country primitive bamboo carved birdcage Windsor chairs. We have these priced at roughly 600 a chair which is still a lower price than you would expect to pay to have these chairs made today. We took a quick look at what was being offered online and most cabinet makers were starting at ~500 for their bird cage Windsor reproductions. These chairs have the added value of being a true antique set CA 1810/1820 with wonderfully executed bamboo turnings. The chairs have nice comfortable saddle seats with a cabinet makers signature underneath. We were having trouble making out the signature but hopefully somebody with better eyes than us can make it out. The chairs are nice and sturdy and measure 18 1/2” wide x 17 1/4” deep x 32 1/2” tall. The seat alone measures 14 3/4” wide with a seat height of 17”.
